STory & Craft: Firefly Lights

Light up the night with a firefly!  Join Miss Jessica, Youth Services Librarian from the Walnut Creek Library, for a special storytime and Miss Marie from the Ruth Bancroft Garden for a craft session to create firefly lights!

This is a fun and easy project for young and old. During the craft session, Miss Marie will show you how to make firefly lights from an empty water or soda bottle, a string or fairy lights, and materials you can find at home. Keep your firefly outside in a sheltered space or in your room to light up the night. So save some plastic bottles, any size will do, so that you can make a firefly or a whole swarm of them!

You will learn the basics so that after watching the video you can make your own firefly lights. (A link to the video will be provided.) No previous knowledge required, and this is perfect for all ages!
