Festival Opera Summer Productions

A double bill of short operas,, La Voix Humaine and Dido and Aeneas, written 270 year apart, yet similar in themes of love and betrayal.  Both Elle and Dido suffer the devastating consequences of heartbreak after living the joy of love.   Their stories resonate across time, bringing us in close as they share these deeply human experiences and question their own existence.   Featuring Carrie Hennessey, Kindra Scharich and Sara Couden.  Directed by Celine Ricci with conductors Robert Mollicone and Zachary Gordin.  Includes members of the Festival Opera Chorus and Orchestra, and dancers from Diablo Ballet.
